Hello!

Here it is, the very first block in english about being an erasmus student in Ostrava. So I assume...

I´m Kaj from Finland, if somebody doesn´t know me, and now I live in Ostrava, Poruba, Koleje, Building D, room 212. And in Finland I live in Tampere with my lovely girlfriend, Signe. I´m going to be five months here in Ostrava, as I think that many others too, and I study on faculty of economics. I´m really sorry if there is lot of mistakes in my text, but mayby after five months it's going to be better. I'm already writing a block in finnish language and I started to write this because of Dominik asked me. So here we are...

There was a party yesterday... Surprise, Surprise!!! Yes, as you know there is a party everyday. I were at Stodolni street in Elaines and Iris's house warming party. After that to Desperados which I think is quite familiar for all the erasmus students in Ostrava...or? And after Desperados part of the group came back to Koleje and we had a afterparty in my and Maxim's room. That sounded familiar...
But, there was also some other party in building B or is it A, anyway it was a floorparty in 4th floor... And when I saw Juan on the noon...I'm sure that this floorparty was harder than ours...

Two weeks have gone, and my school has started...not yet in every courses, but most of them. And I have noticed, that in this country or maybe it's just in the department of Economics nothing is evident. And same is in this fucking residence, you never know what you get.
For example:
- In the introducing book, that we got from the faculty coordinator, says that the rent is 1500 koruna...no, it's 2100 korunas, because the coordinator wanted that we stay two in three beds room and we are paying also the third bed, but she didn't thought that she could ask about it...
- The school and courses is starting in the beginning of october...no, it's now the 12 of october and just three out of eight courses has began.
- You can study in english...partly true, you can, if you understand teachers english and if they understand you.
- You can learn czech language...yes, but the teacher doesn't speak english, just german and czech...What a fuck???
- The coordinator inform you tomorrow with sms...no, after two days you have to ask...then she say tomorrow...and maybe with a hard work you can find it by yourself.

and so on, and so on...

But I've really liked of this time here in Ostrava. Maybe because the erasmus students are really great...all of them I can say. And in this block, I think I'm going to complain a lot...but don't take it too seriously. There is also lot of good things. But sometimes things that you can complain about, are the best ones. And the finnish mentality is that you always remember the bad things, but you just have to laugh at them...

The best party ever, was the welcome party... thanks for everyone...it was great. And you people from Spain and Portugal...you really know how to have fun!!! In Finland it takes two or three hours when there is starting to be fun in a party, because then people are enough drunk to relax... In welcome party with you people, it was just one wine glass. And the tram trip to stodolni, incredible...

I've heard that there is party also tonight...something about that Portugueses has a party in 13th floor...this is just a rumour, but will see... I think I go to Tesco and by some alcohol...just in case.

I hope that I'm going to write here also again...but I'm pretty lazy and I have also the finnish block, but I try. And ofcourse...send me comments about everything. This is a finnish webpage so under this there is a button where it reads in red "kommentoi", press that and first there is name, then email, your own webpage if you have and then the place for comments and then just click the grey "kommentoi" button again. Simple as that.
